Ralph Waldo Emerson

"Success:To laugh often and much, to win the respect of intelligent people and the affection of children, to earn the appreciation of honest critics and endure the betrayal of false friends, to appreciate beauty, to find the best in others, to leave the world a bit better, whether by a healthy child, a garden patch, or a redeemed social condition; to know even one life has breathed easier because you have lived. This is to have succeeded!"~Ralph Waldo Emerson

Today I completed the 'Trust 30' challenge.

Some things I learned -

I read  Self Reliance when I was very young.  It benefited me in ways I didn't recognize till now.

I don't let fear stop me from doing much.

I am ready for the great things I am going to make happen.

See the prompts and my responses on the On Self Reliance page.  Your comments are welcome!

  1. This post is very intriguing to me. I keep thinking about the quotation you used as the intro. and each day I keep reading a few more of the prompts and your responses. I am toying with the idea of writing to some of the prompts myself. Thanks for sharing.

  2. Thanks for reading Jill! The writing challenge is all about trusting your instincts and taking the leap. If I may be so bold...instead of toying with the idea of writing to some, go ahead and make the leap! Answer them all!! It is a great exercise in being reflective.
